About
SSC Club
Somali Senior Citizens Club (SSCC)’ started as a Seamen’s Lunch Club in the 1980’s and was formally established in 2002. Our main aim is to help older Somalis improve the quality of their lives and enable them to play a fully empowered and effective role in wider society by bringing people together, sharing knowledge and co-ordinating activities.

Lunch Club on 5 days per week with regular attendance of 30 - 40 members. we served a hot healthy eating meals
Older People’s Social and Engagement Activities
we deliver social clubs, advice & information, health workshops and facilitation of access to
Volunteering
Recruitment, training and development of volunteer teams to support a range of community-led activities and to

we respond to requests from service users and develop myriad activities including Somali Women’s
Covid-19

SSCC were the for front community services and we delivered a food bank, hot meal delivery and be friendly
services everyday
